Vivan Waghela Week 16: The end...

 The end...

The End Has Come - Sojourn Into Exile

5/9 at 10pm (pre test):

This is it. My 3 AP tests are all tomorrow. For physics, I know most of my equations, but I'm scared that I will forget some that are important. All that matters now, is that I do well on all 3 and be done with it. I want this torture to be over. The end is near.

I am confident about the physics AP tests, but not really about the MCQ for APENG. It really is a challenge for me: I almost always get a super low score on it. I don't want to do so bad on the test tomorrow. Well, it is pretty late at night now, I need my good sleep for tomorrows test. Good luck to all of you guys who are taking the test.

5/10 at 9:17pm (post test):

The end has arrived. The last three AP tests of my life is over. All the effort I put into the essays we wrote in class had a use: the AP test. It was because of all of the timed writes we did that I was able to finish all three essays early. I do not know how I am alive right now but all I know is that the torture is over. If I were to tell any sophomore one thing it would be this: do not do AP Physics C along with APENG. Even though the class was not that bad, having all three AP tests not the same day was a pain.

To those of you taking AP Physics C next year, take this piece of advice: when practicing frqs, always try and finish each one in 13 minutes. Even though 13 minutes sounds like a lot of time, it will go by super fast. I was on the 2nd frq when 10 minutes was called. And because of that, I blanked out on the rest of the test. I forgot all of my formulas, including F=ma. I just did not know how 35 minutes went by so fast. Just know, do as much practice as you can early on. You will need it.

Well, this is end of blogs, then end of APENG, and the end of the hardest year of high school. We all went through enough this year especially, and it is time to move on to what is known as the easiest year of high school: senior year. Wish you all best of luck on AP tests this week and for the rest of this school year.

  2. Hey Vivan!
AP Eng and AP Physics are both incredibly difficult AP tests, so congrats on getting through the year and doing well on them. I agree when you say all the essays we wrote in class came of use, because they really did on the test. Thats when you realize it was all for a reason. I wish you the best of luck for your score in July, manifesting us both 5s!

  3. I was telling my cousins that the day after my final exam was over, I felt more empty than I did studying for the tests on a daily basis. For at least three weeks, my life was just AP. Transitioning back from such a state is difficult, and every single time I end up in a sustained depressive state. Even though I had such a bad time, I would still force my brother to take all of those classes because the pressure really forces you to learn something. As for how to do well in APs, I approach homework and tests really lazily. I don't understand how my grades are okay, but if I can do it, I'm sure everyone else can.

  4. Hi Vivan,

Congratulations on completing all of your AP exams! Ap Physics C and APEng are two of the hardest APs that CollegeBoard has to offer, and you should be proud of taking both courses. I will certainly take your advice for AP Physics C if I am fortunate enough to be placed in the class. I hope we both get 5's on all of our exams.

    Sincerely,
    Krish

  5. Hi Vivan,
Congrats on finishing all of your AP exams! I hope that after the day when you had all of yours, you felt some sort of relief. Funny enough, after my last AP exam, I the feeling was more anticlimactic than it could've been. Now, all my AP exams are done, but my teachers are assigning more work than ever. The only thing getting me through all this work is the fact that we only have about two weeks until school is over. We got this!

  6. Hi Vivan,

Wow. I can't imagine being that relieved at finishing my AP tests. I will be anxious until I receive my scores in July, and I don't see a future where I'm satisfied with my subpar scores (subpar in the sense that they aren't the 5's that my peers swear are the only passing scores). Ah well, I'll go into summer and get started on college apps. Look forward to seeing you next year, and I'll visit you guys in marching band!

    Sincerely,

    Sean Wang

  7. Hi Vivan,
Good thing I never even considered taking AP Physics because I did not want to deal with the math, because have both AP Physics and APENG exams on the same day sounds like a nightmare. After each AP exam I took this year, I was extremely tired afterwards. Not even physically tired, just mentally tired since I have been preparing for those tests for the whole year, and decided that one week before would be my crunch time. Something that I would tell and underclassman is to start actually studying about a month in advance.

  8. Hey Vivan, I'm really glad I'm not a math and science person, because there's no way I could remember all those formulas. I can't even imagine how difficult that must have been. This year has definitely been an interesting one, and this cohort made it all the more interesting (to say the least). See you senior year (or more accurately tomorrow but you get the idea). Thanks for sharing!

  9. Hi Vivan,
AP Physics C sounds very difficult. With FRQs that take 13 minutes each at an optimal schedule, the test sounds like a brain killer. It is a little inaccurate to say that this has been the end, however, since finals have been coming up. It feels crazy sometimes that after you have one test you stressed about for a year, you have another test that is equally important in your classes. Good luck!
    Sincerely,
    Raymond Yu

  10. Hi Vivan,

Nice job! It sounds like you did indeed have alot of fun that day. While it may have been extremely painful, at least you can tell that story for the rest of your life--I feel that very very little people experience three AP tests back to back to back ever in their lifetime. I cannot imagine how light you felt once you finished all the tests. I only took APeng that day and I was totally euphoric afterwards.
